A Friendship Sparked
After their first meeting they became one of each other's best friends. Luke always found ways for him and Mary Lessie to spend time together. Whether is was coming to his dorm to meet puppy Kevin or asking to take pictures of her in the library for an art project.

The Little Moments
Luke and Mary Lessie would frequently go hammocking, to the movies, and loved going on late-night drives.

Luke Catches Feelings
Luke almost immediately caught feelings for Mary Lessie and asked her to be his girlfriend twice, but apparently depends on who you ask...

Making It Official
While at a New Year's Eve party at one of Louisville's historic ballrooms, Luke asked Mary Lessie to be his girlfriend while under a table eating our good luck grapes. She said yes finally!

The Big Yes
They started the day by going to one of their favorite coffee shops, and then they visited a few places that became special to them over the years. Then, Luke surprised Mary Lessie with a picnic setup at one of the first places we would go to hammock freshman year. Mary Lessie said yes!!!
